Indicator Overview
The 200-Period MA Heatmap is a trend-analysis tool designed to measure an asset's price deviation from its long-term moving average. By calculating the ratio between the current price and its Moving Average (MA), the indicator identifies extreme market conditions.
This version introduces an Interval Toggle, allowing users to switch between the standard 200-Day MA (for cyclical trend spotting) and the 200-Week MA (to identify generational market bottoms and long-term structural support). The data is presented via weekly heatmap dots, colour-coded from deep blue to bright red, providing a visual spectrum of whether an asset is "extended" or "undervalued" relative to its historical mean.
Dual-Ticker Comparison Logic
The Ticker fields allow you to transition from absolute price analysis to relative strength analysis:
Single Stock Analysis: If Ticker 2 is left blank, the indicator defaults to measuring Ticker 1against US Dollars. This allows you to analyse the asset's individual performance.
Pair Trading & Ratios: Enter a symbol in both fields (e.g. NVDA vs. TSLA) to analyse the relationship between the two. The indicator automatically calculates the ratio (Ticker 1 / Ticker 2), helping you identify when one asset is becoming "expensive" or "cheap" relative to its peer, independent of broader market direction.
How To Use
ark red and orange dots indicate high positive deviation, historically signaling overbought conditions and potential market peaks. Conversely, dark blue and purple dots represent negative deviation, often coinciding with deep-value buying opportunities and bear market bottoms.
