Indicator Overview

The indicator measures the daily percentage change (rate of change) of the Realised Capitalisation. Essentially, the Realised Cap is the aggregate cost basis of all coins, so its acceleration measures the speed at which new capital is flowing into Bitcoin. It acts like a second derivative of capital flow, quantifying the instantaneous momentum of aggregate investor conviction. The gradient colour transition from deep gold to pure white indicates increasing positive acceleration.

How To Use

Realised Cap Acceleration is a powerful indicator for identifying inflection points in the market cycle.

Positive Acceleration (Bullish): A rising or high positive value signals a strong capital influx (high acceleration) and rising investor conviction. This is characteristic of bull markets where money is rapidly flowing into the system, confirming the momentum of the uptrend.

Negative Acceleration (Bearish/Reversal): When the indicator falls toward zero or turns negative, it signals that the rate of new capital flowing in is slowing down or reversing. Historically, this deceleration often precedes major price tops or is indicative of severe bear market slow-down and capitulation phases.
